About

Mariana,

is a singer, producer and a aspiring film and game composer. Her main styles of music are ambient, electronic, indie and synth pop/rock and her main influences are Fyfe, Chet Faker/Nick Murphy and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. She is fond of psychedelic horror movies, such as Hereditary and Midsommar, in which are both from the same music composer named “The Haxan Cloak” (Bobby Krlic). The type of music these films have are quite unsettling, uneasy and dark and are the type of film scores that she wants to learn more about for her future compositons. She is currently working on scoring music for a short film clip from the series “The Handmaid’s Tale”.

Past Work

One of Mariana’s original songs called “No Time” from my EP “No Empathy”, which was recorded a few years ago!

Over the years she’s been making covers of songs instead of doing originals. Mariana finds that every song can be played in different ways from the original and still sound really good (at least she think so!). When she creates covers of songs she makes sure that it’s different from the original and not a complete copy of it and makes sure that every single instrument is played by her, using what she has available to her. All her covers have been recorded in her own bedroom using her own equipment and instruments and have been produced by herself. Here are two examples of them, enjoy!

In the past, Mariana has also composed music to a movie, for her own project (not for the actual movie!). She scored for a scene in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” and she plans on doing more composing and scoring for different movies in the future.
